Dear Mrs. L-J (Letter #4)....

Another post by Terran...in these posts Terran writes a journal entry, and then I copy it out, add a few explanations, and add pictures for our blog:

Dear Mrs. L-J,

I saw PIGS! In Zorritos (Peru) the pigs like to walk about 5-6 meters away from the sand. You might think of pink perfect pigs, but they are not that pink, they are more brown.

Street pigs in Zorritos, I saw them all over the town.

I met a dog named Sisi. My Mom, my Abuelita (Grandma), and I like to feed her, but she does not like “Quaker (oatmeal)” She only likes beans and eggs, soup, and chicken bones....a true Peruvian.

Sisi and I after her meal

There is so much I could tell you. I have seen a lot of:

1. Dogs (There are a lot of street dogs in Peru)

2. Cats (Ditto with the cats)

3. Stray Pigs...see picture above.

4. Goats

Goats outside my Abuelita's house

5. Stray cows, and horses- A pack of horses rode right next to me while I was playing on the beach. My Mom was pretty worried for me when it happened, I froze in place, and everything was ok.

6. Mototaxies- These things are my favorite mode of transportation!

My sister Maija and I on a Mototaxi from my Abuelita's house

7. Big waves

Here I am checking out the Pacific Ocean

8. Pelicans

9. Sea Lions

10. Crocodiles

Did not touch these guys!

11. Sea Turtles
I got to swim with these guys, and touch them

12. Banana  and coconut trees

13. Jelly Fish- My mom did not get a picture ;)

14. Sea Shells

Here are a few from my sister's collection
I am now in Loja, Ecuador. In the province of Loja there are rainforests, banana tress, animals. The city of Loja is really cool, it has: buses, taxis, Loja Transportes (transportation from cities to cities), dogs, cats, pigeons, and a lot of churches.

How are you? How is Mr. Waffles? What are you doing in school? I miss you!

Love,

Terran

***Terran is now in Loja, Ecuador. Feel free to send him an email, he loves to hear from friends, and family! Bye for now.
