Welcome to New York....
Today dear friends I wish all of you had come with us. What a day! We walked so much! Times Square, Central Park, and Wyatt made the day even more fantastic by suggesting we go see a play!!
We made it safe and sound into the city, for Terran the trains were a big highlight. As soon as we stepped out of the station we could see the Empire State Building. It was so cool to see this concrete jungle up close.
We made it to Time Square, so many lights, and sounds, people everywhere! Everyone kept offering us things, tours, bracelets, show tickets.
We walked to Central Park, we were only there for a few minutes because we needed to walk back to Broadway and find a Hot dog too.
For me the highlight of Manhattan so far was seeing Phantom. Maija loves the music from this show, she plays it on the piano back home, and even tries to make Terran sing it too, so we are all a little familiar with the music. But seeing it live blew us all away! I loved watching the orchestra, the musicians make the funniest expressions when they play. We went to the theater earlier that morning to try to get same day tickets. We lucked out, and we even got box seats for the price of the cheap tickets. Going directly to the theater also saved us some extra administration fees that come with buying your tickets online. I don't know if this same system works with other musicals, but it worked with Phantom.

Prove that Wyatt and I are along for the trip too, we usually just take pictures of the kids. |
My bucket list item, and a quick snack before the play. |
Before heading back to our family in NJ we stopped at the Empire State Building, we however opted to not go up to the observatory. |
You got me at the hot dog! :)
